What is Accountability?

"An accountability partner is able to perceive what you can't see when blind spots and weaknesses block your vision. Such a person serves as a tool in God's hand to promote spiritual growth, and he or she watches out for your best interest" Charles Stanley.

Why is it important to have accountability partners?

An accountability partner can be a coach or a peer. It is a person that can motivate you, keep you on track. When you work with a coach, they will hold you to your commitments and goals. They

may require you to give a report by a certain day and time and it gets done. There is an urgency with a coach or an accountability partner that is so important. Make sure you set the expectation and have a date and time decided that way it goes on your calendar: When on the calendar, it is likely to be achieved.

PRACTICE: If you do not have a coach, ask yourself why? When we invest money into a coach, we tend to excel because we have some meat in the game. Do some research on coaches, see if you can find one that resonates with you, and make a call. If you don’t want a coach, pick an accountability partner and decide when you will meet and what the expectations are. Make a commitment to this person and follow through.
